Legend couch grass provides a beautiful, fine leaf hard wearing home lawn that is extremely drought tolerant and very easy to mow and maintain.
Legend performs at its best in full sun situations (6hrs or partial shade) and requires less water then all buffalo and other fine leaf varieties in north Queensland.  Furthermore, due to Legends fine leaf and deep root system will tolerate heavy traffic and grow in all soil types (sand to clay).
 
Unlike other grasses like blue couch and native buffalo any weed that protrudes a legend lawn can be eradicated easily with selective herbicides without killing your lawn.

Legend Commercial Lawns

LEGEND is the couch grass of choice for many Superintendents at all levels of golf course maintenance from one-man shows in the regional areas to the very top of the golfing pyramid with courses such as Moonah Links (2003 Australian Open). Legend was selected for the Bluewater Lagoon project in Mackay and has performed successfully despite the amount of traffic.

Legend (Cynodon dactylon selection) was chosen as the best performer from over 400 selections of couch grasses in a 4 year evaluation by the Melbourne Cricket Club and Agriculture Victoria. The performance criteria for the evaluation were winter colour retention, overall quality, disease resistance and potential recuperative performance.

Since 1993 Legend has continually proven itself as a top performer in further research studies and in commercial and sporting applications around Australia such as at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, the Harrup Park cricket stadium in Mackay as well as Win Stadium in Wollongong.

To establish Legend couch, use Super Grass fertilizer 1 bag to 600 m2. For depleted soils and sand, add biodynamic compost before laying turf.
